AIDING AND ABETTING

In Illinois , a person may be charged with criminal aiding and abetting when if they, in any way, help someone commit a crime.

They are usually not present when the crime itself is committed, but have knowledge of the crime before or after the crime has been committed.

They usually assist with knowledge, advice, actions or money. If they are very involved, they may be charged with conspiracy.
